Founded by Thomas Burslem in 1880 the company has been trading in and around the Tunbridge Wells area ever since. Initially specialising in the construction of new churches, stone houses and headstones, the restoration and supply of which still remains integral to the company sphere of activity to this day. In recent times the number of new churches and stone houses constructed has decreased significantly, however, there is an ever increasingly enthusiastic trend towards their preservation and restoration which forms the main stay of company activity today.

Inevitably the company encompasses the old and the new in continuing restoration projects coupled with the construction of new stone housing commissions, headstones, granite and marble work surfaces and floors. The four divisions cover projects in Kent, East and West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Central London employing some 40 people.

We are now amongst the oldest and most respected multi disciplined stone masonry companies in the south east supplying labour and materials as approved subcontractors to Central and Local Government, English Heritage, The National Trust, construction companies, property developers, builders and private clients. We are members of The Stone Federation of Great Britain, The British Register of Memorial Masons, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The Construction Industry Training Board and Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
